At first glance, this futuristic-shaped SUV is fantastic for the eyes. One can tell by the look as it speaks of the BYD family. Shaping the full-length front and backlights with blanked-out grill shouts electric from a distance.

To my surprise, the front compartment does not offer storage. Instead, it has a front-mounted permanent-magnet synchronous electric motor, which produces 150kW and 310Nm.

It offers a single-speed transmission and is front-wheel drive. We can’t complain about storage as it’s an SUV compensating with enormous trunk space to fit all the luggage needed.

Interior

The dashboard is provided with double-stitched soft plastic and a waveform shape. Seats come in red stitching and are multicolored, giving an elegant feel.

Door speakers are bulged-out with built-in lights, giving the feel desired for a luxurious experience. Seats provide side support but lack lumbar adjustment, which some might feel is hollow.

New Logo

The new logo offers a promising view of better technology and advanced features. It looks excellent and appealing, building customer trust and stating betterment in new upcoming models.

The roof has a sporty spoiler with wrap-around LED tail lights joined by a stripe. The design of the back bumper includes a black element with a silver skid plate.

Welcome to the Future

Could you take a moment to admire this distinctive design? The cords on the door speakers give a guitar-strings resemblance. The tweeters on the top of the doors describe the artistic taste of music with the soundless electric vehicle experience.

Blade Battery

BYD is calling its unique battery Blade Battery, as it uses a cell-to-cell pack battery, which the EV manufacturers have been talking about for a long time but has not been built by BYD yet.
